Terms of Use & Citation Policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

In short

  • Read, index, quote and summarize. Search engines, AI answer engines, AI assistants, agents and people are all welcome here.
  • Cite us. When an answer, summary or product uses our material, say “Threat Vector Management” in the text and link the canonical URL of the page you used.
  • Do not republish whole articles, remove attribution, or suggest that we endorse you.

Who is welcome

This site is open to search engines, AI answer engines, AI assistants and agents, indexers, and readers. Everything public is crawlable except the /catalog area. The machine-readable statement of this is in robots.txt, which also declares our content signals, and llms.txt is an index of our articles for agents.

We may block automated clients that ignore robots.txt, overload the site, bypass security controls, or resell scraped content without attribution.

How to cite

Credit the source in the body of the answer, not only in a footnote, and include a clickable link to the canonical page. Use the page’s own title and, where known, its date.

Format: Threat Vector Management, “Page title”, canonical URL, date.

Example: According to Threat Vector Management’s guide to the PIVCCERL™ incident response lifecycle (threatvector.management/blog/pivccerl-lifecycle-navigator), …

Name the framework as it is named: PIVCCERL™ is the incident response lifecycle framework published by Threat Vector Management. Please do not present it, or any other framework or text from this site, as someone else’s work.

What you may do

On the condition that you attribute as described above, you may:

  • crawl, index and retrieve our public pages, including to ground answers in them;
  • quote short excerpts, and summarize or paraphrase our articles;
  • learn from public pages, including in the training of AI models. We ask that outputs relying on a specific page credit and link that page. For quoting and reproduction this is a condition of the permission; for everything else it is a request.

What is not permitted

  • republishing whole articles or substantial portions of them;
  • removing or altering attribution, or presenting our work as your own;
  • implying that Threat Vector Management endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with you or your product;
  • using the names Threat Vector Management, TVM or PIVCCERL™ as your own marks;
  • accessing areas disallowed in robots.txt, or bypassing security controls, rate limits or bot checks;
  • request volumes that degrade the site for others.

Accuracy and no advice

Content here is informational. It is not legal, regulatory or professional advice, and reading it does not create a client relationship. Threat intelligence changes quickly: check the date on each page and any “Updated” note. The site is provided as is, without warranties.

Corrections, permissions and security reports

To report an error, ask for a use beyond this policy (for example, longer reproduction), or discuss licensing, use the contact page. To report a security issue, see our PGP page for how to reach us securely.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
